  • Overview

    The Regional Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning, communication and execution of marketing and promotional programs. The goal is to establish a one-stop knowledge-base on all key marketing areas including creating promotions, identifying media and community resources/partnerships, implementing and executing national programs regionally, and organizing both in gym and out of gym events.

    Responsibilities

    Direct Marketing and Advertising/Media

    • Works with the Marketing Director for US West to plan and execute quarterly and annual marketing & media plans for the respective region.

    Budget Development and Management

    • Manage and track spending of the local portion of the overall Corporate Marketing

    Event Planning and Partnerships

    • Take lead role in creating and executing regional market programs focused on brand awareness, program awareness/trial, lead generation, new member joins and member engagement/upgrades.
    • Ensure understanding and execution of national marketing initiatives.

    Community Relations

    • Maximize Gold's Gym exposure in the local community through partnerships, events, and trade Participate in community events to generate new members and drive brand & program awareness.

    Analysis

    • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of current marketing programs. Leverages learnings to maximize marketing investment.
    • Track effectiveness and reach of programming against established departmental key performance indicators.
    • Understand and communicate knowledge of competitive landscape in the region(s).

    Situation/Problem Analysis and Plan Development

    • Support the Marketing Director and the Senior Vice President with opportunity gym plans for underperforming gyms.
    • Develops and executes the marketing plans for new gym presale and grand openings.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree required. Marketing or Communications degree preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of Marketing/Promotions/Advertising experience with at least 2-3 years in the regional/national multi-unit chain
    • Experience developing, executing and tracking marketing plans and competitive response
    • Creative problem Strong business analytics. Budget management experience. Solid communication and presentation skills.
    • Excellent time management, project coordination, negotiation and job follow-through skills.
    • Attention to detail; able to manage several projects simultaneously (good multi-tasking).
    • Ability to interface with team members at all levels; Team-oriented.
    • Strong computer skills preferred: PC, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office
