    This software application developer position is responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of the Gold’s Gym corporate, internal and member focused web-based applications.  Candidate will work with a team of developers in a fast paced, energetic and collaborative environment to meet the growing needs of the business.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for design, implementation, documentation, deployment and ongoing maintenance.
    • Responsible for all aspects of agile software development for applications, interfaces and API integrations to effectively fulfill the development life cycle of business requests.
    • Understand existing architecture, programs and design to facilitate the release of quality state of the art products.
    • Write functional specification and use case documents.
    • Document code, architecture, enhancements and bug fixes.
    • Maintain advanced technical skills and accumulate industry knowledge to improve the quality of products and services.

    Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
    • 2 to 4 years of relevant website and web application development experience and a proven track record of delivering quality products under strict deadlines.

    • Candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Web accessibility and have proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010+.
    • Ideal candidates are detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving abilities, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have experience working in a fast-paced environment. 
    • Hands-on experience designing and developing highly scalable and high performance web applications, including working with mobile responsive applications for consumer-facing mobile product deployments
    • Experience with web services and API integrations
    • MCSD certification a plus
