  • Overview

    To grow Gold’s Gym franchise footprint globally by recruiting highly qualified franchise candidates for master franchise development. The Director of International Franchise Sales will oversee all elements of lead generation and take candidates through a mutual Discovery Process, managing all activities from initial contact to the issuance of a Franchise Agreement. This position makes effective use of leads generated from their existing network, various franchising marketing channels, referrals developed from existing franchisees, and industry sources to identify qualified targets. In addition, this person will be responsible for developing the lead generation plan in order to build a pipeline of qualified candidates. This individual will play a key role in creation of the strategic development plan that leads to international growth with new franchisees. 

    Responsibilities

    • Capable of setting a strategic vision, achieving it and encouraging new ideas and innovative thinking. 

    • Lead the development and execution of the overall international franchise sales plans.
    • Work with cross functional departments to develop appropriate sales support materials while understanding trends for franchise selling.
    • Responsible to adhere to national and local laws pertaining to franchise sales and disclosure information.
    • Attend franchise trade shows to learn of current franchising trends and to develop new business prospects. Stay current with industry trends in the area of franchise sales, as well as the International Franchise Association.
    • Set sales strategy by partnering with internal and external groups and using a combination of efforts to include benchmarking competition, updating value selling and points of differentiation.
    • Communicates effectively the objectives and goals of the organization and has a willingness to listen to the ideas of others
    • Ability to motivate others
    • Effective communication skills including group presentations, written and oral.
    • Strong team management skills. Engages on difficult issues and works quickly to resolve them.
    • Strong financial analysis skills. Ties strategies and planned actions to results.
    • Ability to counsel perspective franchisee’s on business planning, including ROI and breakeven analysis
    • Combines a confident, self-starting, high performance orientation with a track record that reflects a proactive attitude.
    • Enjoys meeting with major customers, personally networking within the industry during the normal course of business and at industry events.
    • Project management skills including organizing, multitasking, and budget reconciliation.
    • Strong understanding of various cultures and the ability to tailor the business sales strategy
    • Travel required 50%+
    • Position can be based anywhere in the world but prefer a candidate in the Asia-Pacific area
    • English language mandatory with strong preference for other languages, particularly Chinese

    Qualifications

    • College Degree (BS/BA) is required, and a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Fitness or Business Administration is preferred.
    • Five (5) years’ experience in Senior Level/Corporate or multi-unit responsibility.
    • Five (5) years’ experience in Franchise Sales, ideally in a franchise system that requires a $1,500,000+ initial investment by the Franchisee.
    • Experience selling international Master Franchise Agreements.
    • Prior experience in leading international franchise recruitment/sales with strong knowledge of franchise lead generation methods
